Initial Consultation Fees
My initial consultation fee is fixed at:
- $220 for summary matters
- $330 for indictable matters
Your consultation is an opportunity to sit down with me directly and discuss your matter properly. It is not a rushed intake call or a brief meeting before being passed on to someone else.
I will take the time to understand your circumstances, explain the charge and evidence against you, discuss your options and possible outcomes, and answer any questions you have.

How Much Does a Criminal Lawyer Cost?
The cost of legal representation varies depending on the nature and complexity of your case.
Our hourly rates generally range from $200 to $500 per hour, depending on the complexity of the case and the seniority of the person who is doing the work.
The overall cost may depend on the seriousness of the charge, the amount of evidence involved, the preparation required, the number of court appearances and whether the matter can be resolved early or proceeds to a hearing or trial.
Once I understand your matter, I can give you a clearer indication of the likely work and costs involved.
Do You Offer Fixed Fees?

Whether a fixed fee is suitable will depend on the circumstances of your case and the work required. Where I can offer a fixed fee, I will explain what is included before you decide to proceed.
For other matters, I will explain how fees are calculated and provide you with the relevant cost information.
